Hamilton Highlights In G League Return

Trinidad and Tobago center Johnny Hamilton made his return to the NBA G League this weekend, now for the College Park Skyhawks, the affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks.

In his first meeting with the Boston Celtics G League afilliate, the Maine Celtics, Hamilton put up 6 points on 2-3 shooting, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks in 14 minutes of play in their 116-103 loss against the Celtics on Friday. Sam Hauser of the Celtics led the way with 27 points, with 18 of those points coming off 3 pointers.

In the Skyhawks 2nd game against Maine, Hamilton had a rough scoring night, scoring only 2 points on 1-4 shooting in 15 minutes of game time but kept up his defensive intensity with 3 blocks on the night to go with 4 rebounds. Theo Pinson of the Celtics led the way in scoring for his team with 20 points.

The 7 footer from Rio Claro last played in the G League during the 2018-19 season averaged 11.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game during that season.

Hamilton and the Skyhawks will be back in action against the Delaware Blue Coats on Friday, looking to find their first win of the season.
