Johnny Hamilton came off the bench for Fenerbahçe Beko at the Gloria Cup on Wednesday in a 72-65 loss against Pınar Karşıyaka. Hamilton checked in the game 13 mins in and instantly contributed for Fenerbahçe.
He starts at the top of the arc, blocking the movement of the defenders before he moves and cuts to the basket as #4 Lorenzo Brown passes it to #92 Edgaras Ulanovas on the wing. As Ulanovas draws the double team under the basket, Hamilton goes back out to the midrange to receive the pass. He sees the mismatch, pump fakes the defender, then drives for his first two points of the game. He shot 52 percent from the field last season for Darussafaka.
A little later in the game he gets sent to the line to sink two free throws. He made 61 percent of his free throws last season.
In the next highlight, Hamilton sets a nice screen that just springs him open and he had a free lane to the bucket and finishes strong with the assist from Leo Westermann.
Hamilton also put up 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks and an assist in his debut last Sunday in a 82-70 win against Tofaş in a friendly match.
Johnny Hamilton and Fenerbahçe will face the loser of Türk Telekom vs. Red Star Belgrade on Friday.
