Center Johnny Hamilton and his club Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul bounce back in the EuroCup Top 16 with a comfortable win over Italian outfit and Group E rivals Dolomiti Energia Trento.
The Trinidadian Center only played 20 minutes in the game, as Darussafaka probably didn’t want to risk him getting injured in a game that was already won midway through the 3rd quarter. Man of the match honors went to forward Jarrod Jones who posted a Darussafaka Double-Double, 12 points and 17 rebounds. He also had a block and an assist.
With the victory, Darussafaka stays in play to advance to the knockout stages, sitting in 3rd place at 3-2 behind Segafredo Virtus Bologna and NIS Partizan Belgrade. These two will play against each other on Wednesday. Darussafaka will play Virtus Bologna in March where Darussafaka will be in a must-win position to advance to the knockout stages of the EuroCup. Darussafaka previously lost to Partizan last week Wednesday.
Darussafaka’s next game is against Gaziantep in the Basketball Super League on Saturday. Time of game is to be determined.
